Through enlightening demonstrations, lectures, special guests, and presentations, learn about organizations that work on issues of food justice.

Special Programs include:

  • 11:00am - Screening of Trouble the Water.
    This Academy Award-nominated documentary takes you inside Hurricane Katrina in a way never before seen on screen. It's a redemptive tale of two self-described street hustlers who become heroes-two unforgettable people who survive the storm and then seize a chance for a new beginning.
  • 1:00pm - Keynote Lecture by Michael W. Twitty, Foodways Historian
  • 1:00-3:00pm - Visit the family-friendly photo booth from GoodEye Photoshare
  • 2:00pm - Special Presentation by Tillie's Corner
  • 3:00pm - Special Presentation by The Sweet Potato Project
  • 3:00pm - Special Screening of Show of Strength
