Monthly Member Tour: Our Olympics
Join us for the first in a new series of Monthly Member Tours! On the first Thursday of the month members are invited to meet at the Thomas Jefferson statue at 9:00 am for coffee and muffins. We will then depart on a curator-led tour at 9:30 am. Tours will last 30 to 45 minutes.
*Due to the popularity of this event, we have added a second tour time. The second tour group will meet at the Thomas Jefferson statue at 9:45am and depart for a curator-led tour at 10:15am.
On Thursday, August 2, 2012 we will tour Our Olympics with curator Jody Sowell. As athletes and fans prepare for this summer’s Olympics in London, the Missouri History Museum looks back at the first time the Games came to the United States. St. Louis celebrated more than the World’s Fair in 1904; it also celebrated its role as the first American city to host the modern Olympics.
Space is limited and reservations are required. Please call the Reservations Department at (314)361-9017 or email reserv@mohistory.org.
