Storytelling in the Galleries
These programs engage our youngest visitors and their families in historic paintings and objects by using traditional and contemporary stories. Children will also enjoy a hands-on craft or other activity. Each 45-minute session is FREE. Programs are held Fridays at 10:30 a.m. (for ages 2–6) in the museum’s galleries and Saturdays at 1 p.m.* (for ages 10 and under) in museum classrooms. Check with the Information Desk for locations.
*NEW! Introducing our new Storytelling Workshops from Noon to 2 p.m. on Saturdays! Storytelling will still take place at 1 p.m. but come early or stay afterward to play with puppets, build a puzzle or read stories on your own.
