Community Action Fair
Throughout the exhibition run of RACE: Are We So Different?, the
Missouri History Museum, in conjunction with the St. Louis Beacon, has
offered monthly thought-provoking programs and content addressing
issues related to race in the region and nation-wide. Join us as this
programming culminates with our first-ever Community Action Fair, which provides the opportunity to connect with social justice organizations from around the metro area.
- 10am: Presentation by Provident Development Group
- 11am: Presentation by lawyer Herman Jimerson, author of Foreclosure
- 12pm: Presentation by author W. Ralph Eubanks
- 1pm: Discussion with Cultural Leadership
- 2pm: Presentation by the ACLU
- 3pm: Washington University student panel examining student activism and the alleged discrimination that took place at the Original Mother's bar during a recent senior class trip to Chicago.
- 3:30pm: Book signing and discussion with Clarence Lang, author of Grassroots at the Gateway
