St. Louis Point of View
January 30, 2010 - August 22, 2010
St. Louis Point of View features the work of amateur photographers as part of the University of Missouri at St. Louis’s Public Policy Research Center Photography Project. The Project is an artistic collaboration between university staff and members of various volunteer community groups throughout the St. Louis area. Project staff provides instruction and guidance to volunteers as they document, through photography, the work they do in historic preservation, community revitalization, personal enrichment programs, and social services. Through ongoing work with these community partnerships, the Photography Project aims to use art to highlight local organizations working toward the greater good and to inspire people to get involved with their communities.

Since 2004, 23 organizations have participated in the Photography Project. The exhibit, produced in partnership with the Missouri History Museum, marks the first time that work from all of these groups has been displayed together and shared with the greater St. Louis region.
