Community Cinema
This unique partnership with
KETC/Channel 9 allows the Missouri History Museum to provide advance screenings
of ITVS (Independent Television Service) documentaries, combined with an
opportunity for community engagement. The documentaries have addressed topics
ranging from the preservation of Navajo culture through Miss Navajo pageants to
the historical banishment of African American residents in Pierce City , Missouri .
This series is an outgrowth of the Race, Power & Money Series and benefits
from the continued support of Focus St. Louis, UM–St. Louis, and Saint Louis University .
