Missouri History Museum

We are inviting young people between the ages of 12 and 17 years to participate in a free 11 week teen writing workshop held at the Missouri History Museum.  The Corner Pocket Teen Writing Workshop will prepare students to write in a variety of styles about topics expressed in teen culture.  The workshops are presented by Urban Artist Alliance for Child Development, Inc (UAACD), with support from the Missouri History Museum, as well as promotional support from First Civilizations, Inc.

Students will meet on Saturday mornings at the Missouri History Museum in the Millstone Learning Center.  Students can expect to engage in a multimedia lecture, editorial sessions, research, article preparation and writing.  UAACD will supply the students with a notebook, paper and pencil.  Upon acceptance to the program, students and parents must agree to attend the workshop orientation on January 16, 2010, where a schedule and other information will be provided.
