Effective Tuesday, January 3, 2006, the reading room will
be open:
- 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Tuesday - Friday,
10:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday, and by appointment.
Out-of-town researchers are encouraged to contact us in advance.

The Missouri Historical Society Research Collections contain the premier
regional history collection documenting St. Louis, Missouri, the Mississippi
and Missouri Valleys, the Louisiana Purchase Territory and the American
West. An integrated and multi-format collection, it serves an audience
of diverse local, national and international readers and researchers.

- Materials do not circulate.
- No appointment is necessary to view the general Library and Manuscript
collections.
- Appointments are required for access to other collections.
- Special handling rules may apply for Special Collections.
- A staff of professional librarians, archivists and curators are available
to advise you on research strategies, help you locate materials and
support your research. We cannot, however, undertake extensive research
on behalf of our patrons.
