  • Electronic Resources
While Lewis & Clark: The National Bicentennial Exhibition has left St. Louis and begun its journey across the country, a variety of materials still exist to aid in your teaching of this topic.

Lewis & Clark: The National Bicentennial Exhibition Curriculum
    www.lewisandclarkexhibit.org

A multi-disciplinary online curriculum (grades 4–12) offers a new perspective on the Corp’s western exploration. It focuses on the cultural contact between the expedition members and American Indians connecting with today’s diverse nation and world.

Lessons are thematically aligned with exhibition organization and focus on hundreds of primary sources on view—curriculum is linked to the content standards of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

    Curriculum available online at www.lewisandclarkexhibit.org.

Electronic Field Trips of Lewis & Clark: The National Bicentennial Exhibition
Two 1-hour segments provide insight into the challenges faced by the expedition and highlight some of the most interesting objects/documents in the exhibit—curator Carolyn Gilman is featured.

Lewis and Clark: Then and Now is a collaboration between area teachers and the History Museum. Two electronic field trips are archived on their Web site at www.ali.apple/lewisandclark.

    CD/ On-Line Curriculum Resource Material
New material will be on-line and in CD format beginning January 2006.
