This is a participatory program, facilitated by ADL’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute, aimed at an adult audience.

Expressions of American Liberty and Freedom

What is it to have freedom of expression in America? Join Susan Shipman Cryer as she presents dramatic readings of literature and poetry that explore the visions of selected American writers — free spirits who have engaged their individual and uniquely creative perceptions of their lives and times. From the stark boldness of Stephen Crane to the whimsical fantasy of e.e. cummings, from the oblique humor in the short stories of Donald Barthelme to the zany quality of Woody Allen, each of these innovative writers shows an original and uncensored style, subject and vision.
